My family subscribes to a paper called 'The Age' and every Saturday we get it delivered, along with one of its supplements 'Good Weekend'. In the front section (Aptly named 'upfront' there is a small quiz, featuring a different television personalities answers every week. So I though I'd give my own answers to the quiz... because it's my last Saturday before school starts again and I'm avoiding my homework

At school I... excel in English, Art, Graphics and Photography, and am failing everything else.

My most treasured possession is... sadly, my hair straightener.
I wish I had... chosen my friends more carefully when I was younger.
I wish I hadn't... given up ballet.
At home I cook... toast, oh! and instant noodles.

I'm very bad at... taking compliments and singing.

It's not fashionable, but I love... literary theory.
The last big belly laugh I had was when... my friend Yasmin and I were playing with the 'warp' tool on my webcam.
If only I could be sure... about what I want to do when I leave school.
Friends say I am...an amazing drawer, good with words, and not quite normal.
The song I'd liked played at my funeral is... Angles by Within Temptation, just because it's so haunting.
My greatest fear is... the dark (childish, I know, but I'm terrified) and heights.
At the moment I'm reading... The Davinci Code by Dan Brown. I've seen the movie thousands of times, but the book is so much better.
At the moment I'm listening to... Streetlight by The Getaway Plan, from there new album Other Voices, Other rooms.
My favorite work of art is... Narcissus by Caravaggio
My worst job was... I haven't had one yet

[Sighs] I’ve officially begun to develop a twitch due to lack of sleep and excessive consumption of caffeine. Its not the twitch that’s disconcerting, after all the exact same thing happened last year during exams, but the fact that I’m on holidays and am supposed to be recuperating. I’m convinced that this new found insomnia is very much due to stress from studying. I’m only in year 9 (I’m 14, 15 in December) so it’s not that studying is particularly important at the moment, but I’m doing two classes (English and Photography) at school that are a year above my current year.

My school has a ‘vertical curriculum’ which basically means that we can do classes at year levels above our own. For instance if you were mostly good at science (which I’m not) then you could do a science class in the year above your own. Normally I would think this was great, but my English teacher has given us 3 books to read and research over the holiday’s as well as 4 essays and an oral presentation.

This wouldn’t be so bad if I also didn’t have chapters and chapters of maths and French revision and exercises to do as well, but all that would be fine if my humanities and science teachers hadn’t also taken it upon themselves to fill me holidays with nothing but revision. I know this isn’t much work for people who are studying for University of who are studying to get into University, but I’m only 14, and it’s driving me nuts.

So all in all the two weeks that I had originally planned to fill with shoots have become one study session that’s only going to give me enough time to shoot once.

Sorry about the rant but I’m annoyed and had to get it off my chest, now… pass me my Starbucks.

So there's been a slight change of plan - well, more than slight.
My Melbourne shoot has had to be postponed- but dont worry! Im allready working on one that will be shot on Tuesday, and this one is solid.

So sorry to everyone who was kind enough to pm me in encouragement, but this one should be somewhat better.

Melbourne:
Hey everyone, so I finally did it.

I sorted through metres and metres of material, scoured Melbourne alleys for the perfect location, raided countless friend's makeup bags for the right mix and collected a model and makeup artist.

So it looks like my Melbourne shoot will finally go ahead as planned.

The images and prints wont be available until the Friday (I have to allow time for developing and finishing touches) and I have another shoot lined up for Friday night, so my gallery should be coming along nicely in no time at all.

So,

I finally finished are rather tedious pile of homework that's been dragging on since, well, i don't want to think when. Anyway, so this means that my holidays are completely free for me to do photo-shoots. AND I found a upcoming hair stylist and model ready to work for me. YAY! So my gallery will no longer be full of black and white London street scenes that I took in early April last year.

Aren't you all so excited? lol.

3 Days of school left for the term!
